Our Mission

EZPDF was born from a simple belief: editing and converting PDF files is a basic digital task, and no one should have to sacrifice their privacy or pay a premium to do it.

When processing PDF files containing sensitive information — contracts, resumes, medical records, financial documents — users rightfully worry about where their files end up and who can access them. EZPDF was created to eliminate those concerns entirely.

The Story Behind EZPDF

EZPDF was born from the reality of the Korean market. Most PDF tools either rely on paid subscription models or, even when free, require files to be uploaded to a server. This creates two major problems for users.

First, the cost issue. It's unreasonable to pay a monthly subscription just to merge or split a PDF. Korean users, in particular, expect free alternatives for basic utility tools.

Second, privacy concerns. Korean users are very sensitive about personal data protection. Uploading a file to a server means that its contents could potentially be exposed to third parties. When dealing with sensitive documents like resumes, contracts, or medical records, this is a serious concern.

EZPDF was designed to fundamentally solve both problems. Because files never leave the user's browser, there is no cost and privacy is perfectly protected.

100% Client-Side Processing

The most fundamental feature of EZPDF is that all file processing happens only in the user's browser. This is not just a marketing claim — it is a technically verifiable fact.

When a user uploads a PDF file, it is loaded into JavaScript memory. All processing — merging, splitting, rotating, converting — runs entirely on the user's computer. Once processing is complete, the result file is downloaded, and refreshing the page erases all data from memory.

Verifying this is simple. Open your browser's developer tools (F12) and check the Network tab. During file processing, you'll see that no file data is sent to any server. Only static assets (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) are loaded — your files are never transmitted over the network.

The advantages of this architecture are:

• Privacy: Files are never sent to a server, so no third party can access your file content.
• Speed: No need to upload files to a server and wait for results — processing is instant.
• Offline Support: Once the page is cached, you can use the tools without an internet connection.

EZPDF is built on cutting-edge open-source technologies. Since all core libraries are open-source, full technical transparency is guaranteed.

• Next.js 14: A modern React-based web framework that delivers fast performance and optimized bundle sizes.
• pdf-lib: A pure JavaScript library for PDF manipulation. It handles merging, splitting, page editing, and more — all without external binary dependencies, running directly in the browser.
• PDF.js: Mozilla's official PDF rendering library, used for previews and PDF-to-image conversion. It provides excellent compatibility and reliability.
• Tailwind CSS: A utility-first CSS framework that enables rapid UI development and consistent design.
• next-intl: An internationalization library fully integrated with Next.js 14 App Router, enabling support for 18 languages.

This technology stack was chosen intentionally. Since all libraries are written in pure JavaScript, they can run exclusively in the browser without any external servers or binary dependencies. This is what makes 100% client-side processing possible.

18 Language Support

EZPDF supports 18 languages for users worldwide. Korean is the default language, with the following languages also available:

The language is automatically detected from your browser settings and displayed accordingly. You can also manually change the language from the selector at the top of the page.
